Ingredients
- 2 cups basil (fresh, thaw if frozen)
- 3 tablespoons pine nuts (or walnuts as a substitute)
- 2 cloves garlic, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup parsley
- 1/2 cup Parmesean cheese
- 1/4 cup Romano cheese
Instructions
- Toast pine nuts in skillet with a bit of butter.
- Measure out Parmesean and Romano cheeses and cut them into the food processor.
- Wash and drain basil. Remove stems.
- Put all ingredients into the food processsor. Blend until smooth.
- Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.
